Vietnam eVisa ports of entry

Short answer: the Vietnam eVisa is accepted at about 83 border checkpoints: all the main international airports, the busiest land crossings with Cambodia, Laos and China, and the major seaports. The list was expanded in late 2025. You name one port when you apply, but in practice you can enter at any checkpoint on the approved list during your eVisa's validity.

Airports

All the international airports travellers normally use, including Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City), Da Nang, Cam Ranh (Nha Trang), Phu Quoc, Cat Bi (Hai Phong) and Can Tho.

Land borders

Major crossings accept the eVisa. Examples:

• Laos: Lao Bao, Cau Treo
• China: Huu Nghi, Lao Cai, Mong Cai

Not every small crossing is on the list. If you are coming overland, check your crossing before you go.

Seaports

Including Hai Phong, Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc. Cruise passengers whose ship calls in Vietnam more than once, with international stops in between, usually need a multiple-entry eVisa.

Which port to put on the form

Put the checkpoint where you plan to arrive. If you aren't sure, the main airport of your arrival city is the safe choice. If you then arrive somewhere else on the list, that is normally accepted.
