The eVisa
What is a Vietnam eVisa?
A visa that Vietnam’s Immigration Department issues online as a PDF. It lets you visit for tourism, business or family for up to 30 or 90 days. Everything happens online — no embassy visit.
Can every nationality apply?
Since August 2023 the eVisa is open to all countries and territories. In practice a group of nationalities is handled under stricter conditions and priced individually. Choose your country on the application form: if it’s one of them, we confirm with you on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
30 days or 90 days?
30 days lets you stay up to 30 days; 90 days up to 90. They cost exactly the same, so choose the length that fits your trip.
Single or multiple entry?
Single entry lets you enter once; leave Vietnam and it’s used up. Multiple entry lets you leave and return as often as you like while it’s valid — the one to pick for side trips to Cambodia, Laos or Thailand. Which one do you need?
Applying
How long does it take?
Economy: 4–6 working days. 3-Day: 3. 2-Day: 2. Next-Day: 1. Same-Day: about 5 hours, Same-Day Plus about 2.5, Emergency about 1.5, plus a weekend service. Working days are Monday–Friday excluding Vietnamese public holidays. All prices.
What do I need to apply?
- A passport valid for 6+ months after arrival
- A clear colour scan of the passport bio page
- A recent portrait photo on a plain light background
- An email address
- A way to pay: PayPal or a card
Do I pay when I submit the form?
No. We review your case first, then email a secure payment link. Nothing is charged at submission.
How do I receive the eVisa?
By email, to the address on your application. Check every detail against your passport, then print one or two copies to carry with you.
Do I need to print it?
Yes. Airlines regularly ask for it before boarding, and a paper copy avoids arguments. Keep a digital copy as a spare.
Fees & payment
How much does it cost?
From $48 all-in for single entry on standard processing, and $68 for multiple entry. The government fee is included. Full price table or calculator.
How can I pay?
PayPal, or Visa / Mastercard / American Express processed through PayPal. Bank transfer is available for groups of five or more.
Is payment secure?
Yes. PayPal handles the payment and your card number never reaches us.
What if my eVisa is refused?
When the cause is a mistake on our side, you get our whole service fee back. The official $25 / $50 is kept by Vietnam Immigration once filed, so nobody can return it.
Travel & entry
Where can I enter with an eVisa?
As of 2026, about 83 checkpoints: roughly 17 international airports, 27 land borders and 39 seaports, after an expansion in late 2025. All the major airports are included — Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc and Cat Bi. Full ports guide.
What happens at the border?
Show your printed eVisa and passport. The officer verifies it and stamps your passport — usually 5–10 minutes once you reach the booth. The queue before the booth is another matter: airport fast track.
Can I extend my eVisa inside Vietnam?
No. There is no official in-country extension for the eVisa. For a longer stay, leave and come back on a new eVisa; you can send that application before you leave. Timing and details.

Is my data safe?
Everything you send is encrypted in transit. We use your information only to process your visa and share it only with Vietnam Immigration and the providers we need to run the service, such as PayPal. We never sell it. See our Privacy Policy.
