Short answer: the Vietnam government charges $25 for a single-entry eVisa and $50 for multiple entry, valid for up to 90 days. That fee is the same for every nationality and every length of stay. Anything above $25 or $50 is a service fee charged by whoever handles the application for you, and it depends mostly on how fast you need the visa.
The government fee

A few things people get wrong about it:
- It doesn't change with the number of days. A 15-day and a 90-day single-entry eVisa cost the same $25. Ask for the days you actually need, plus a small buffer.
- It is not refunded if the application fails. A wrong passport number, a mismatched name or an unusable photo means paying again.
- Your bank may add a small foreign-transaction fee, because the charge is processed in US dollars.
What a service adds, and why
You can apply on the official portal, evisa.gov.vn, and pay only the government fee. That is a good option if you have at least a week or two and you are comfortable with forms. People pay a service when they need one of three things: speed (the portal has no rush option), a check before the non-refundable fee is spent, or a person to contact when something goes wrong.

How to spot overpricing
Some sites charge $150 or more for standard processing, or show a low price and add "government fees", "processing" and "insurance" at checkout. Before you pay any service:
- Check that the price shown includes the $25 or $50 government fee, or that it is clearly listed separately.
- Look for a stated processing time and a refund policy, in writing.

Is the eVisa cheaper than visa on arrival?
Usually. Visa on arrival needs an approval letter from an agency plus a stamping fee paid in cash at the airport, and you queue for it after landing. For most travellers, the eVisa costs less and takes less time.
Do children pay the same fee?
Yes. Every traveller needs their own eVisa, including infants on a parent's booking, at the same government fee.
Can I pay in another currency?
The fee is set in US dollars. We accept PayPal and international cards, and your card or PayPal converts the amount automatically.
