Short answer: go to evisa.gov.vn, open the search/status page, and enter your registration code, the email you applied with and your date of birth. There is no username or password. If a site asks you to log in to check an eVisa, you are on the wrong site.
Step by step
- On evisa.gov.vn, choose the option to search for or check an eVisa application.
- Enter the registration code exactly as emailed. It starts with "E" and is a long mix of letters and numbers. Watch out for O and 0, and I and 1.
- Enter the same email and date of birth you used in the application.
- Complete the security code and search. On a phone, scroll down: the result appears below the form.
What the result means

"No record found"
- A typo in the code, the email or the date of birth. This is the most common cause.
- The application was never paid. No payment means no submission.
- It was submitted only minutes ago. Try again in a few hours.
- A VPN or an unofficial lookalike site. Use evisa.gov.vn directly.
- An agency applied for you and holds the code. Ask them for it.
Approved but no email? That happens. Download the PDF from the status page, print it and keep a copy on your phone. The airline and immigration will both want to see it.
